Brother Movement: Ginger twins making a name for themselves in music

October 23, 2018 by Chris Quilietti

Dennis & Marvin Ledermann are twin brothers from Germany they’ve been making music under the name Brother Movement since 2016. last year they released their debut album and performed on the Red Head Days main stage in the Netherlands, where 5000 visitors met for the biggest redhead gathering in the world.

What do you do?

We study, work and make a lot of music

What’s the best thing about where you’re from?

Our family and friends...aaaand the food is also good ^^

What’s the most common question you get asked? (about your hair or being ginger)

It’s mostly intimate and awkward questions…

Was there ever a time where you didn’t like being ginger?

When we were kids we were bullied a lot for being ginger twins. We didn't felt comfortable walking around together because everyone was staring at us.

Nowadays we see this as a gift and are proud of who we are.

Most creative/ funny ginger insult you’ve received?

There is a German children’s series called "Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl". Pumuckl is a red-haired, cheeky Kobold*.

A lot of kids called us Pumuckl 1 and Pumuckl 2.

*a spirit who haunts houses or lives underground in caves or mines.

Do you have a red-headed icon?

Definitely Ed Sheeran. He's one of the most talented and coolest gingers (and musicians) on the planet.

What other ginger person do people say you most resemble?

Some people say that we look a little bit like Prince Harry. But we don't know if that’s true…

What do you like most about being ginger?

Being part of the amazing ginger family all around the globe.

What do you like least about being ginger?

Getting sunburn.

If you could have been born with any other hair color, would you?

Never!
