The Christmas Void
It's that week between Christmas and New Year celebrations where DJ's make a joke of reminding you what day it is and it's acceptable to eat chocolate for any or all meals. If you need help with your confectionery consumption i've created the definitive list of sweets in a Celebrations tin. (Well plastic box (mid when they used to be real tins?))

I had a really nice family Christmas this year including a lot of wine, cheese and talking over the television.
One thing I loved when I still did Hospital Radio (on Forth Valleys Radio Royal) was being live on the big day. There are some broadcasters and programmes that now do it as a matter of course, like Bryan Burnett on Radio Scotland or Scott Mills on Radio 1.
It’s an honor for live shows to be part of peoples Christmas day and for many it may be the only connection or interaction they have. That one to one aspect of radio is one of the reasons I love it.
The show I did on Christmas day a few years back and didn't receive any heartfelt and sad calls but it did include plenty of cheesy music and a report on Santa Clause.
