Co-Star Horoscope Notifications Are a Bit Too Real for Some People

April 07, 2019 by Chris Quilietti in Lifestyle

If you’re a fan of reading or looking up your horoscope then you’ll probably have heard of Co-Star. It’s a new app that allows you to keep up to date with your horoscope on the go. Using NASA data and AI it gives you up to date analysis of your on character traits, behavior, and emotions.

Part of the experience is receiving notifications, based on your chart, with advice, distilled bits of wisdom or even instruction on how to tackle the day ahead of you and the people in it. These notifications have caused some confusion amongst the community using the app as while mostly they are innocuous or even helpful, occasionally they are a bit close to home for some people.

"In a world where instability is justified beyond comprehension, we force everything that doesn’t fit through a filter of likes, swipes, and follows. But rationality suffocates. The human in us craves connection; the dreamer yearns for mystery. So we search for meaning in the madness, if only for the sign that makes us take a leap of faith. Where technorationalism ends, we begin."
